Cleanliness Drive in connection with Swachha Bharat Abhiyan.

The Yuva Tourism Club, an affiliated organisation of Borholla College, Jorhat, Assam has organized a Cleanliness drive in the college premises on 30th November, 2023. According to Sri Navajyoti Neog, the Cordinator of the Club it is the initiative of the organisation in line with the instructions provided by the Director, Higher Education, Assam and in connection with the Swachha Bharat Abhiyan Mission of the Government of India. In the brief opening ceremony, the faculty members of the institution put their opinion regarding the teachings and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi towards cleanliness and hygiene. They also commemorate the great soul of India on the eve of his birthday on 2nd October which day is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti throughout the country. According to Mr. Amal Sonowal, the faculty head of the Yuva Tourism Club of the institution the students of the institution are divided into groups and they will offer their services for cleanliness of the campus with the motto "Swachata hi Sewa". The faculty members of the institution will accompany the different groups and will guide them. Mr. Amal Sonowal mentions that the members of the Club including the faculty members and other office bearers of the institution has taken Swachata Pledge following the guidelines of Government of India and downloaded the certificate issued against the Yuva Tourism Club, Borholla College.
